PC gaming has long been a haven for gamers, offering the best graphics, immersive experiences, and games’ most diverse libraries. But over the past few years, mobile gaming has gotten better and better, and now the best games are finally being ported to Android or iOS.
This means that if you’re a PC gamer looking to play your favorite games on your phone, you’ll have many great options. Here are the 10 best PC games ported to mobile.
Here are the 10 best PC games ported to android and iOS
Mobile gaming has given PC gamers access to a huge library of quality games, many of which have been ported from their original platforms. These games are designed to be played on a phone, so they’re smaller in scope and don’t offer the same level of graphics and immersion that you’d find on a PC or console. But that doesn’t mean that these are bad.
These games stay true to the originals and are amazing to play on mobile. In fact, many of the best games have been ported to mobile so that you can play them anywhere. Here are our top 10 picks for the ported games.
10. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
We’re gonna kick it off with an absolute gem of a port Star Wars time. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is just a classic RPG adventure game first released for PC and Xbox all the way back in 2003 before making its way to mobile in 2013.
The mobile port of this game is just so well made it really delivers that full PC and console experience. The game takes place 4000 years prior to the Star Wars movies, where we play as a young hero on a quest to take down a powerful Sith mode. We can pick between three character classes that define our core stats and enable unique playstyles and then we head out on a journey full of rich narratives and lots and lots of side quests.
Not only that but these can all be dealt with in multiple ways and the choices we make constantly push us towards either the light or the dark side.
The combat system is especially interesting because although it takes place in real-time, we can pause the game to issue orders, perform special skills, or use items. The touch controls work well. It features Bluetooth controller support. Although the graphics are a bit dated, it only costs 9.99 US dollars on mobile.
As a quick bonus game, the follow-up to this game, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2 is also out on mobile so you can always check that out after finishing this first one.
Price – $9.99
Released – 2013
Platform – Android, iOS
09. GRID Autosport
GRID Autosport is another great game party to mobile first on iOS in 2017 and then Android in 2019 after releasing on PC and console back in 2014. This is a high-quality single-player racing game that plays between an arcade racer and the much more serious simulation racing games.
It makes it a perfect game for both casual and hardcore players. Best of all, it has so many game modes ranging from traditional circuit races to sprints, time attacks, drag races, and drifting. It also features over 100 cars and tracks.
It requires a decently powerful phone to play properly but if you’ve got that, the high-quality customizable touch controls and Bluetooth controller support ensure an awesome experience.
You don’t have to look far to see people calling this the best racing game ever released on mobile, and I honestly think they’re right about that because this is truly a masterpiece and it only costs 9.99 US dollars on mobile.
Price – $9.99
Released – 2019
Platform – Android, iOS
08. Max Payne
Next up is the story-driven third-person action shooter Max Payne. In game we use a bunch of different weapons to shoot bad guys left and right in slow motion. It was first released in 2001, making this one of the oldest games, then ported to mobile in 2012.
If you haven’t tried it yet, it is definitely worth checking out, especially if you enjoy these dark dystopian action adventures. The touch controls of this game are definitely its weakest point but the rest of the game is so well made.
There’s also Bluetooth controller support which is the best way to experience the game. It also only costs 2.99 US dollars, so it is significantly cheaper than the previous two games and it might honestly just be one of the best story-driven shooters available on mobile.
Price – $2.99
Released – 2012
Platform – Android, iOS
07. Brawlhalla
This next game is one I consider to be the best fast-paced brawler on mobile and if you’ve been looking for a mobile alternative to Nintendo super smash bros, Brawlhalla is basically what you’re looking for.
The game got its mobile port in 2020. It features over 50 distinct heroes with unique abilities and weapons that we use in real-time multiplayer matches that even support crossplay across PC, console, and mobile. One of the things I really like about Brawlhalla is that it has so many different game modes.
We can head into one versus one, two versus two, ranked and custom online games. Also, not to mention local matches or even tournaments that are offline against an AI system. The touch controls are some of the best for a genre on mobile.
The game not only supports Bluetooth controllers but also a keyboard and mouse on mobile. Most importantly, the core gameplay is just really fun in this game. Nintendo has already proven the formula for this type of game and Brawlhalla just brought it cross-platform.
Unlike the other games we’ve talked about so far, Brawlhalla is free to play with 8 free heroes that rotate every week, while the rest can then be unlocked using in-game gold or all of them at once via a single 19.99 US dollar in-app purchase.

06. Dead Cells
One of today’s newer games is Dead Cells, released on PC and console in 2018 before getting ported to mobile in 2019 on iOS and 2020 on Android. This is easily one of the best roguelike Metroidvania soul spawn side-scrollers on mobile. The main objective of Dead Cells is to make it through procedurally generated dungeons while killing enemies.
It’s a fast-paced game with lots of different weapons to play around with and it all just comes together to create a great adrenaline-rushing gameplay experience. It also has controller support, even though it can easily be enjoyed with just the touch controls.
This is an 8.99 US dollar premium game on mobile, which is a steal compared to the 24.99 prices you’d pay for essentially the same game over on PC. If you love Metroidvania souls like games, then definitely try Dead Cells.
Price – $8.99

05. DOOM
Here we have what I can only describe as a true classic that I think many don’t even realize this out for mobile, but the original Doom game has been ported to Android and iOS. First released in 1993, Doom is literally the game that took the first-person shooter genre mainstream.
It’s just as great today as it was back then, so if you’re looking for some fast-paced and action-packed demon slaying, this is the game for you. It sets you back 4.99 US dollars.
I think it’s worth pointing out that although the touch controls used to be horrible for this port, they actually got updated in 2020. There’s now also full controller support.
Price – $4.99
Released – 2020
Platform – Android, iOS
04. Northgard
Northgard is another brilliant game ported to mobile in 2021 after releasing on PC in 2018. This, my friends, is a Viking-themed, real-time strategy game where we pick a clan and then either defeat all other Viking clans in battle, have them become dependent on us through traits, or gain enough fame to declare ourselves kings, all of which are ways to win the game.
Now part of what really makes this game fun is that we need to strategically plan where to assign our villagers to probably balance our resource-gathering income through traits and the size of our army so we can defend against the many different enemies we face all while expanding our village as fast as possible.
It is overall just a great strategy game with lots of freedom to strategize as we want, which also ensures a high level of replayability.
It’s an 8.99 US dollar premium game with additional Viking clients available through in-app purchase DLCs that each cost 4.99 or 9.99 as a combined bundle.

03. ROME: Total War
The next one is called Rome Total War, a simulation strategy game released on PC in 2004 before making its way to mobile in 2018. This one has us lead a noble family on a quest to conquer the enemies of Rome and maybe even take over Rome herself one day.
So, there are actually two elements or overall sections to this game. The first has us move our units around a map, managing military and economic production and negotiating treaties, similar to the civilization series of strategy games.
This is where it gets really interesting; when we launch an attack, the game turns into a full-blown 3D RTS game where we lead the troops ourselves in battle instead of them being just controlled automatically by an AI.
This creates a much more exciting combat experience and it’s worth highlighting as it means the outcome of each battle is based not only on our stats but also our competence, unlike most other forex strategy games. The mobile part of this game is really well made, making it a joy to play on mobile despite the complex controls that take a bit to get used to.
It’s an 8.99 premium game and you’d have a hard time finding any better simulation strategy game on mobile. As a quick bonus, Total War Medieval 2 has also been ported to mobile and you’ll definitely enjoy that one as well if you like Rome Total War.
Price – $8.99
Released – 2018
Platform – Android, iOS
02. Slay the Spire
If deck-building roguelikes are more your jam, then you got to check out Slay The Spire, which got ported to mobile in 2020. Despite being just a few years old on mobile, the game has already received legendary occult status.
You’ll often hear others call a new game a Slay the Spire clone because that’s just how big of an impact this game has had on the genre. The basics of the game is that we descend Spire while using decks of cards that we collect along the way to fight and defeat enemies and bosses.
But the part of what makes the game just so addictive is that as we progress, we also encounter lots of random events, shops, treasure rooms, and even campfires where we can rest and heal again. The goal is to simply defeat the last boss but it’s easier said than done because if we die at any point in this game along the way, we have to start all over again because let’s not forget this is a roguelike.
From its four different characters that each have unique decks and playstyles to the perfect card synergies, we need to keep in mind to win there’s a lot to love about this game.
The almost perfect part of mobile thankfully lives up to the gameplay. Slay The Spire is a 9.99 US dollar premium game and it’s an absolute must-play if you haven’t tried it yet.

01. Old School RuneScape
This is nothing less than the largest MMORPG in the world and after releasing all the way back in 2001, it finally got its mobile port in 2018, allowing us to play the same character across both PC and mobile.
What I like about Old School RuneScape is that it has so much PVE and PVP content to explore that you could spend thousands of hours on it without seeing even half of it. While the endgame PVP will be difficult to participate in using the touch controls, the mobile port is perfect for this game’s massive amount of PVE content.
Old School RuneScape is also free to play with a subscription unlocking the full game world but you can honestly easily spend at least a year or two just playing through the free portion of the game. It also has a 100 positive user rating score over Mini Review and is by far the best MMORPG you can play on mobile.
